One day Canada will have a coherent national identity.
This is not that day.
Why is the Stanley Cup on her head. There are current NHL players that were born since a Canadian team won the Cup.
But muh fellow Canadians are on those teams the L.A. Kings are basically a Canadian team.
No, Canada, no. That's not how it works. Just because the Spurs won the NBA title doesn't mean an Argentinian team won the title. Just because Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid doesn't mean a Portuguese team won La Liga. Just because Germans play for the US Soccer team doesn't mean a German team wins whenever they win.
This is why Canada will never be Nordic.

I'm trying to think of why the transparent net alleged skirt would be analogous to a net and what the goalie would be, and not having much luck keeping SFW.

Yes, but then she needs another goalie stick.

I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER MY GOLD MEDALS.
I know what you're saying, but over 50% of the NHL is Canadian. It counts for something, face it.

No it doesn't. The New York Rangers are not Swedish.
Don't like it? Either stop sucking at running pro hockey teams, or form your own league so you don't have to play the Americans.

This is true. Maybe they're in the middle of pulling the goalie...
Side note: something my friends and I used to say in regards to a girl that has a bf "just because there's a goalie, doesn't mean you can't score."

The goalie, No. 2, is in the penalty box. Or something.

You're right, they aren't Swedish. They are 13.6% Swedish, 36.4% American, 4.5% Norwegian and 45.5% Canadian.
Agree with point #2.
Actually, the NHL was a Canadian league that expanded south, not the other way around.

How'd that work out for Canada
![]() 01/22/2015 at 17:47 |

No, the NHL was formed by Canadian AND American teams who wanted to play each other internationally. The northeast U.S. isn't Canada.

"The National Hockey League was organized on November 26, 1917, in Montreal , Quebec , after the suspension of operations of its predecessor organization, the National Hockey Association (NHA), which had been founded in 1909 in Renfrew Ontario. [4] It started with four teams (all based in Canada) and, through a series of expansions, contractions, and relocations, is now composed of thirty active franchises. The "nation" referred to by the league's name was Canada, although the league has now been binational since 1924 when its first team in the United States, the Boston Bruins , began play."
